KiwiBerry Madness

I know you’re wondering what those little green things are in my smoothie bowl that look like kiwi. Well they aren’t kiwi but they are KiwiBerries!!!

I found them at a local health food store sitting by themselves just waiting for me to arrive. (yes that is basically what happened). So for those of you that don’t know what KiwiBerries are I’ll break it down for ya.

KiwiBerry is like the little brother to kiwi except it’s fuzz free and you can eat the skin. I know some people eat the skin off of regular kiwi too but I’m not a fan of all that fuzz up in my mouth (if ya know what I mean hahaha). When you cut them open they look exactly like a kiwi but bite sized and a little sweeter. These berries are a super-fruit! High in fiber, vitamin A, calcium and have 5x more vitamin C in one serving than an orange.
I was so excited about these when I first discovered them. When they are in season I go into a kiwi berry craze hence the title of this post.
